Daimler’s involvement in Environmental activities is aimed at supporting and developing projects which provide a benchmark for innovation and a legacy for local communities.
Daimler in the past 10 years has spent 12 billion euro on Environmental causes. The major portion of which was invested in the research and development of hybrid and fuel cell technology as well as of new engines with greater fuel economy and reduced pollutant and noise emissions.
In the region, Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific ensures that a high level of consciousness is maintained in respect to the environment around us and makes every effort to contribute to world wide efforts. This is achieved by adopting and implementing principles of waste minimisation, improving the quality of water discharged from our facilities, reducing the risk of soil contamination and reducing consumption of resources.
