A muscle machine – the SLK-Class
One look is enough to know where the inspiration for the design of the SLK-Class comes from: the arrow-shaped body and dynamic lines immediately call motor racing to mind. The wide doors and striking rear end likewise lend a racy appearance to the SLK-Class. In short, its design is ultra-modern and yet already a classic.
A close look at the exterior of the SLK-Class also reveals many exciting features. Such as headlamps with clear lenses, the stylish front end and the striking rear aspect with a raised spoiler edge and chrome-plated twin exhaust tailpipes.
The inviting interior features silver-coloured controls contrasting with the black cockpit, sports seats and fine materials. The cockpit ergonomics also reveal great attention to detail – all to make driving the SLK-Class a sheer pleasure.
The SLK-Class from Mercedes-Benz attracts everyone´s gaze. The design radiates more power and energy than ever before. And anyway, top performance is its hallmark – from the AMG 5.5-litre V8 to the spaciousness to the appointments.
Already a modern design classic
The motor press dubbed it the "small Silver Arrow". No wonder. From the louvred radiator grille nose to the distinctive tail, the SLK-Class shows a great deal of respect for the legendary racing car. And yet the Roadster is unmistakably an SLK featuring innovative design details.
Incidentally, the SLK is the world’s best-selling roadster in its class. Since its debut in March 2004, over 100,000 vehicles have been supplied. Hardly surprising though with its superb blend of sportiness and comfort. The unique AIRSCARF, for instance, ensures that SLK drivers can enjoy the top-down sensation the whole year round. And its arrow-shaped body just oozes classic sports car design.
